What CloudMyWords itself does not do
The actual word cloud tool does not use cookies or browser storage (such as localStorage) of its own. The text you paste or the file you upload is never sent anywhere — that part of the site runs entirely client-side, with or without the analytics described below.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager)
This site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which sets cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to measure aggregate usage — things like how many people visit, which pages they view, and which country or device they're using. This is standard, anonymized-at-a-glance web analytics; it does not read or record the text you paste or the file you upload, and it is not linked to your name or email.

Other third-party resources this page loads
Beyond analytics, this page also loads a small number of resources from third-party domains, necessary for the page to work:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — used to display the Inter typeface and the optional fonts available in the font picker. Google does not use these font requests to set advertising cookies.
- jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — used to load the open-source libraries that read CSV/Excel files, parse .docx documents and draw the word cloud on the canvas. These are static script files; they do not set cookies.
Loading any resource from a third-party domain necessarily shares standard technical information with that domain (such as your IP address and browser user agent), the same way it would for any image or script on any website. This is a byproduct of how the web works, not a cookie, and is outside CloudMyWords' control.
Your choices
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or block analytics and third-party scripts entirely with your browser's content-blocking settings or an ad/tracker blocker extension. Either way, the core word cloud functionality itself runs entirely client-side and works the same regardless of your choice.
